The company donated a 2-acre parcel of land along Kennedy Drive to the Borough of Archbald, where borough officials plan to build a veterans monument park.

ARCHBALD — Lockheed Martin donated a chunk of land to become home to a veterans memorial park.

The roughly 2-acre property along Kennedy Drive, across from Maria Boulevard, is exactly the type of visible spot organizers had in mind to honor servicemen, said Robert Turlip, chairman of the Archbald Borough Veterans Monument Park Committee.

ARCHBALD, Pa., Sept. 11, 2017 – Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Archbald Operations has donated a parcel of land to the Borough of Archbald to build a veterans memorial park.

The project, which will comprise approximately two acres along Kennedy Drive, will be led by the Archbald Borough Veterans Memorial Park Committee, a 501c3 nonprofit organization established specifically for this initiative.
